We live in a time where we are (each in its own pace) slowly but surely letting go of old beliefs, values, systems, constructs, agreements and many many more things. But this letting go is not easy. It can be frightening for some of us to make things more transparent. It can make us vulnerable and that’s not really what we want. We prefer to hide behind our safe masks. Hide behind our own invented illusions. Part of the fear of not willing to let go, might be because we are ashamed to show to each other we are not perfect enough. We all know nobody is perfect. But this is also an illusion.
Ken Venturi got it right with his statement: “I don’t believe you have to be better than everybody else. I believe you have to be better than you ever thought you could be.”
So if we accept that we were born and raised and educated and experienced, shaped by the same society where these same rules apply for everyone, we all are in fact already perfect. It will never get better at any given moment in time. The way we collectively are, is the only way, so accept that! There is no need to become more perfect than we already are at every here and now moment. We will never be better than that which we are in each moment. Accept it. Show it. Tell it to each other. If we don’t accept each other the way we actually are, we create duality and separation instead of enforcement. Good luck in finding out the beautiful you that you really are already!
